The founders tell you about the project
Founding idea
Create geoscience software adapted to the environmental transition.
The need for action
Simplify geomodeling in the low-carbon energy sector.
Why now?
Because the deployment of geothermal energy and natural hydrogen is urgent.
What project?
In 2024 founders Sébastien Lacaze, Ehssan Mesbahi and Nicolas Cami decided to create a company specializing in the design of software solutions to accelerate the energy transition.
At present, geoscientists lack the resources and tools needed to explore underground renewable energy sources.
What’s the objective?
To develop intuitive, affordable software that can be used to obtain a realistic representation of the subsurface from sparse, heterogeneous data. This solution, combined with a service offering, will be designed for the exploration of geothermal sources and natural hydrogen. Its design is based on a community of users.
What values?
The Look Up team builds its project around strong values and a founding ethic. Openness, listening, teamwork and information sharing are at the heart of our approach.
This collective intelligence, the spirit of responsibility that drives the various professionals and their willingness to share data, offers exciting prospects.
Transition, evolution and, why not, ecological revolution remain one of the major challenges of the century. Only a global vision, clear motivation, and a compelling desire to work together will enable us to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the long term. Look Up Geoscience = Innovation + Ambition + Collaboration!

What’s at stake?
- Respond to a challenge of the future by developing easy-to-use and accessible geoscience software for the exploration of geothermal sources and natural hydrogen.
- Involve users to meet their specific needs.
