Look Up supports women working in geothermal energy

Because equality between men and women is a cause close to our hearts, we are honored to announce that Look Up Geoscience, through its members Mariane Peter-Borie and Aloïse Chabbert, is taking part in the action of WING (Women In Geothermal).

The mission of this global network for women in geothermal energy is to encourage female students to become involved in geothermal energy, to support women in the sector in their career development, to facilitate and accelerate the adoption of anti-harassment policies, to help women professionals access management and governance positions…

A non-profit, voluntary organization founded in 2013, WING is one of the world’s largest geothermal organizations. Today, it brings together more than 3,400 members – men and women – from all over the world.

Thirty-four WING “chapters” currently exist (France, Canada, China, India, USA, Iran, Kenya, New Zealand…). These national teams are led by ambassadors who support, coordinate and implement WING initiatives in their territories. Objective: to remain relevant and engaged with national industries, while being connected to international communities.
